Cherokee Street Elementary School

From Feb. 9-13, Connetquot schools celebrated Random Acts of Kindness Week, a special week dedicated to promoting kindness, empathy, and anti-bullying throughout the district.

Members of the Long Island chapter of The Giving Doll recently visited Cherokee Street Elementary, donating 650 handmade bookmarks to students to promote a love of reading.

Since the beginning of the school year, ENL students from Cherokee Street and Duffield elementary schools have been building connections as pen pals.
